Schüler per Webcam überwacht

Hab’ ich gerade auf Fefes Blog gelesen. Die Dreistigkeit überrascht mich.

Aus den USA gibt es heute eine Meldung, die man eher aus England erwartet hätte: eine Schule hat über die Webcams in den an die Schüler verteilten Notebooks die Schüler und ihre Familien bespitzelt. Rausgekommen ist das, weil sie einen Schüler wegen “improper behavior in his home” disziplinieren wollten und als Beweis ein Foto der Laptop-Webcam vorlegten. Un-glaub-lich.

die Atomuhr ist tot!

Denn es gibt jetzt eine in den USA entwickelte Quantenuhr, welche bis zu 100.000 mal genauer sein soll. Sie verliert Sekunde, alle 3,4 Milliarden Jahre. Zum Vergleich: aktuelle Atomuhren verlieren eine Sekunde innerhalb von 100 Millionen Jahren. Die Zeit wird gemessen, indem die Energie eines einzelnen Aluminium-Ions mit UV-Laserstrahlen gemessen wird. Diese quantenlogische Uhr ist so genau, dass man ihre Genauikgeit noch gar nicht messen kann, denn die aktuelle Definition einer Sekunde basiert auf einer Atomuhr.

In den USA steht Mickey Hicks, ein 8-jährige Pfadfinder, auf der Terrorliste und wird deshalb vor jedem Flug gründlichst kontrolliert und befragt.
